Typhoid marry
when we were going through pandemic situations, I started researching some dangerous diseases which make everyone in difficult situations, then we found a piece of interesting news, incident related to a disease known as Typhoid. Yes, typhoid is a very harmful and deadly disease in years of the '90s. one of the strange things was found was an asymptomatic carrier who was serving as a cook named Marry Mallon.
Typhoid disease is caused by "Salmonella Typhi" and it would be spread by infected food,water and contact with sick person's feece or urine,it was discovered in 1896 which causes fever,Nausea,vomting,chest rash,muscle pain, if person croses this stage of symptoms then it leads to intestinal bleeding,blood clot,abdomen issues.Comming to Typhoid marry she born in Ireland.In the year of 1883 she immigrated to Newyork city, she use live with her uncle and work as cook in rich families also famous for her special item named as peach icecream.Typhoid become very burning issue in year 1900, in 1906 a family of oesterbay who was rich landlord family got typhoid infection due to marrymallon because she was an asymptomatic carrier of typhoid disease by the time of infection occured in oester bay's family mary use to change her working place from one family to another, As this cycle got started marry use to change the houses and the people got infected due to infection of Typhoid, strange thing was Marry mallon does'nt even know that she is asymptomatic carrier of typhoid. because of Marrymallon 30,000 people got sick and one young girl died due to infection.
As the number of cases got increasing day and day with more infected persons and marry changing the houses, By the time George Soper who was a sanitary inspector and who took up the case started investigated that typhoid infection spread by a cook named marrymallon, George went to the place where marry working as a cook and tried to take samples from her but she refused to do and moreover as per sources she has defended herself with a meat cleaver, kitchen fork and chapati roller, with the support of government officials she got caught and quarantined in the eastern side of Newyork city named as North Brother Island in the year of 1907. Still, she wouldn't digest the reality of her situation that she was an asymptomatic carrier of Typhoid during the process of isolated from NewYork she defended herself and refused to surrender, she fights with people and didn't even gave chance to talk with her and George Soper put his effort and confirmed and formed compliance to arrest her finally he quarantined in the island and started looking front to console and rectify the infection which is inside of her body, doctors traced that gall bladder got infected if and only if we remove that part she can't be normal but she hampered in such away. Because of human rights and all over-rules and regulations officials didn't go in tyranny. In the year of 1910, the government announced and stated that she would not be a cook as long anymore because of her asymptomatic infection.
By the time when she was released she was titled as "TYPHOID MARRY"
which was published by The Journal of American Medical Association.from that time she became typhoid marry when she was released firstly she worked in a laundry shop and later broke a promise and disguise herself with whimsical names such as Marry Brown and again continue her occupation as cooking in whimsical houses as she changed houses later she joined as a cook in hospital known as solane maternity hospital in Newyork city. In the year of 1915, the doctors who are working in that hospital got infected with Typhoid then again the government got to know to marry didn't abide by the rules as they mentioned before leaving from quarantine. Then Newyork govt. decided to make her life sentence as quarantine in North Brother Island in the year of 1915. But the temperamental behavior of her didn't even change and her conspiracy makes more people got infected by the disease and she was quarantined for nearly twenty-three years(23) in the quarantine itself, later she died at the age of 1938.
The very strange thing was the researchers and scientist at the generation of 1900 didn't find the elusive case of Typhoid marry asymptomatic cause and later in the year of 2013 the scientists ascertained as that her body cause macro fusion inside the cells of her body which disguise in the cells and became asymptomatic. Moreover, Typhoid marry wasn't the first effected person with Typhoid but she was the first person to detect the asymptomatic carrier of Typhoid, and again after the death of typhoid, there were nearly four hundred(400) asymptomatic carriers were found.
Basically, this situation really makes us panic because of one person those many people got infected, so we should aware that disease would be around us and we should be hygiene ourselves with being clean tidy our environment by washing hands and keeping clean.
